Most of our psychologists (Ph.D. level) were trained in North America and are licensed in the States. Most of our psychologists are bilingual (English/Korean). We all strive to be supportive of clients’ gender, race, sexual orientation, cultural and religious backgrounds, and abilities.
We do take foreign health insurance (e.g., Aetna, Bupa, Cigna, Tricare). Please contact us to see whether your health insurance would cover our services.

In individual counseling or therapy, a client meets one-on-one with a therapist in 50-minute sessions. This working relationship may last for only a few sessions or may continue for much longer, depending on the needs of the client. We offer client’s individual therapy on a bi-weekly basis and the therapist working together to identify goals for the therapy. The approach to treatment varies from person to person and may initially include considerable work involving the client's past experiences. For others, treatment may emphasize current experiences.

Couple/Marriage and Family Therapy
YPCS offers expertise in relationship and family issues. We aim to provide counseling with a focus on the solution rather than the problem when we work with couples and families. Couple and family issues can become more complex with the addition of cultural differences and relocation. Our staff also values the process of addressing the ongoing difficulties while taking into consideration how the Korean culture may impact the identified struggles. We very much work with cross-cultural/international couples.
