Jing An Park
Park located across from Jingan Temple. Former site of Bubbling Well Cemetery. Garden, pond and walking areas. Nearby to tourist attractions. No. 1649 Nanjing Road. Located in Jingan District.
The French-style landscaping gem is the central park of the French Concession. To get the most out your experience visit early in the morning when its filled with dancers, mahjong players and tai chi practitioners. 6am-6pm. 105 Yandang Rd.
Shanghai Natural Wild Insect Kingdom
Visitors are free to feed the rabbits, goats and chinchillas. Admission is RMB40 per adult and RMB25 per child, with discounts for familities. 9am-5pm. 1 Fenghe Lu, by Lujiazui Xi Lu.

Not far from Daning Lingshi Park, this smaller park has a decidedly more local feel and is often bustling with socializing seniors. Its interesting and worth a stroll. 6am-6pm. 1555 Gonghe Xin Lu, by Luochuan Dong Lu.
Peoples Square Amusement Park
Most expat residents of the French Concession dont realize that there is an amusement park tucked away in the greenery of Peoples Square. Its safe and affordable for kids aged 7-12. 9am-7pm. Peoples park, Nanjing Xi Lu Side.
Changfeng Ocean World
South American-themed aquatic park featuring penguins, sharks, sea lions and glass bottom boat rides. Open daily 08:30-17:00. Gate 4, Changfeng Park, 451 Daduehe Lu, Putuo.
A staffed children’s play area within Zhongshan Park featuring mazes, swings, slides, ropes and ball pits. Open daily 10:00-19:00. 780 Changning Lu (in Zhong Shan Park).
Daning Lingshi Park
This walled park, often overlooked by expats and the largest in Puxi, offers plenty of areas to find urban solotude. 5am-5pm. 288 Guangzhong Xi Lu, Zhabei District.
