School Divisions
  • EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER:  The Early Childhood Center (ECC), is situated a short 5-minute walk from the ASH Main Campus, and offers a special learning environment for our youngest ASH students, 3-6 years of age. The center includes a child-focused, inquiry-based Preschool (PS), Transition Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten (KG) and First Grade (G1).
  • ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:  (Grades 2 - 4) is located on the Main Campus. In addition to core subjects, the curriculum is enriched by instruction in the areas of Music, Art, Computer and Dutch language skills. It is rounded out with daily PE.
  • MIDDLE SCHOOL:  Middle School students in Grades 5 - 8 study with a grade-level teaching team, which is guided by the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP). Once a year, students spend a week off campus exploring in The Netherlands. A wide range of extra-curricular activities and clubs are offered as well as team sports such as Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Cross Country and Track and Field.
  • HIGH SCHOOL:  High School students in Grades 9 - 12 study a full college preparatory curriculum which includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and Certificate program and Advanced Placement courses. Extra-curricular activities include Model United Nations, Speech and Debate, Scouting, Community projects, Performing Arts, National Honor Society, Math League and Robotics Club. Team sports include Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Cross Country, Tennis, Baseball, Softball and Track and Field.

The American School's diverse student body of 1,200 students represent over 70 nationalities.
