American School of The Hague, is an international school located in Wassenaar, which nurtures and inspires character, commitment, creativity and learning. AMERICAN SCHOOL DIVISIONS
- Early Childhood Center The Early Childhood Center (ECC) is a new center for 3-6 year olds. Situated just a short distance from the ASH Main Campus, this new facility is a special learning environment for our youngest ASH students. The center includes a child-centered inquiry-based Preschool (PS), Transition Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten (KG) and First Grade (G1).
- Upper Elementary School Upper Elementary (Grades 2-4) is located on the Main Campus. In addition to core subjects, the curriculum is enriched by instruction in the areas of Music, Art, Computer and Dutch language skills. It is rounded out with daily PE.
- Middle School Middle School students in Grades 5-8 study with a grade-level teaching team. Once a year, students spend a week off campus exploring in The Netherlands. A wide range of extra-curricular activities and clubs are offered as well as team sports such as Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Cross Country and Track and Field.
- High School High School students in Grades 9-12 study a full college preparatory curriculum which includes the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and Certificate program and Advanced Placement courses. Extra-curricular activities include Model United Nations, Speech and Debate, Scouting, Community Projects, Performing Arts, National Honor Society, Math League and Robotics Club. Team sports include Volleyball, Soccer, Swimming, Basketball, Cross Country, Tennis, Baseball, Softball and Track and Field.
ASH accepts applications at all grade levels throughout the year. There is no application fee. Occasional wait lists occur so early application is advised.
The school currently hosts in excess of 1,220 students from 76 nationalities. It includes an active Parent-Teachers Association, an extensive Adult Education program and a large Alumni Association.
