What is meant by Golden week in Japan? What kind of holiday is this? Can someone please explain it to me? Thank you.
It's several holidays strung together that make golden week. It's considered a long holiday for Japanese.
One of the holidays is Childrens day on May 5.
Golden week is my favorite time of the year to STAY in Tokyo. The trains are much less crowded...enjoy!
There's a complete description of Golden Week here at this link - http://tokyo.angloinfo.com/information/moving/country-file/public-holidays/
Hope This Helps!
Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days here in Tokyo. Not too hot and not too cold. We better enjoy these days now before the hot & humid season is here.
There are too many holidays in Japan. I can never seem to do a bank transfer when I need.
Yes me too. I've been trying to pay the rent at the realtors office for 3 days already. They've been closed for golden week.
The return of holiday makers will start tomorrow on Sunday since golden week will be finished for most of them. Work will begin again on Monday.
Thank you for updating this exciting golden week holiday. Its very nice to know about this. Desert Safari Deals
