Hello everyone, I am looking for somewhere to buy books and DVDs for toddlers (age 0 - 5) in Mandarin. I was hoping there might be somewhere in Prato (Via Pistoiese perhaps?). Can anyone direct me to somewhere I might be able to find a place that sells these that is in, or close to, Prato? Many thanks, Sarah
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know about my mum coming over to live in the Lucca area in April. She has been a live in-carer for 5 years over in the Uk and will be looking to pick up bits and pieces of work in Italy . Alternatively, she was a childminder before being a carer, so could help out with little ones too. She has excellent references and is entirely trustworthy, with a full UK CRB. She also has years and years of experience in owning/looking after dogs and cats so if you are in need of a pet-sitting service then she can help here too. She also has her own transport. I would much rather be able to find her some little jobs in Italy rather than her have to travel back to the Uk for work every few months. Please feel free to email me if you would like to meet her or ask any questions.
Hi everybody, We (husband, myself and our daughter of 5 months) are moving to Scandicci this week. Since I do not speak any Italian, I would love to meet other moms who speak english! That and if any of you know of a meeting group of young moms or playgroups i would love to hear about it! Thank you for any information you may have. Teatske
Hello, We are looking for an English speaking (preferably to native level) babysitter for our 10 and 8 year old children (a boy and a girl) for 3 afternoons a week after school (from about 2.30 untill 4.30 p.m, occasionally later) to look after them with their homeworks and have conversation with them in English. We live in Pisa not far from the airport. If interested, please contact us to e-mail address: email@example.com Cristina and Emanuele
Dear super nannies out there, our family is looking for someone English speaking, preferably mother tongue, who can look after our two wonderful little italian monsters :) aged almost 3 and 1.5 y.o., speaking and playing with them in English; starting from September/October. Would be three hours per day, three or four days per week, plus one or two evenings per month (perhaps). The nanny is expected to take them from school around 4 pm and spend the rest of the afternoon with them, doing whatever her/his imagination can think of, possibly staying outdoors, if the weather is not too bad. We live in Lucca city center and the schools are easily reachable by foot/bike. The four of us are looking forward to hearing from you!
Hi, we are looking for an English speaking babysitter or nanny to help with our two children, a 2 y.o. and a newborn. We work in Pisa and we are there from Monday to Friday, so we would not need help at the weekend and extremely rarely in the evening. We have a flexible schedule so we might need as little as 20 hours one week and as much as 40 another. Please get in touch in case you are interested and we would be happy to discuss about it more. Thank you! Gloria
We are a family with two young children. Even if none of us is mother tongue, we introduced English to our kids three years ago with good results. An American master student helped us coming to play with children approximately twice a week. Unfortunately (for us J) she is getting her degree and will left us. We are looking for someone who likes children and is available to came and play in English with them. We believe that a new language is learned through the normal life experiences. We are not looking for a canonical teacher or a baby sitter. Experience is not mandatory. For further information please contact us.
I and my wife have been lucky enough to have had an excellent Swedish nanny (45) for the past five months, a specialist in babies and toddlers. She is leaving us now, as our youngest is going to crèche but I just wanted to let Tuscany know about this incredible talent who also doubled, effortlessly, as a housekeeper and a personal assistant in this time. She can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org Catch her before she heads off to France or the US.
Good morning! I have recently returned to the USA after nearly two decades in Italy. I am looking for a situation teaching English with a family or other situation like an agriturismo, beach club or camp for the month of July. Location flexible. I have many skills and talents (crafts, cooking, horseback riding, sailing, sports...) that could be useful in a summer setting. I would be happy to send my complete CV or answer any questions.
