Hi, I hope someone can answer or point me in the right direction (links in Italian lang. OK) We are looking at a very nice piece of land to do some weekend camping on, it is to small to build on but we have a caravan. Can we place the caravan on it to visit about 1 weekend a month? We are looking to purchase an apartment in town and in the future will use this for said "weekend get-aways" and also a small veggie plot. Thanks

I am undertaking some building works in Tuscany and have been told that various IVA rates apply depending on the nature of the work. Specifically, I am renovating an existing pool by changing the shape and replacing the crumbled concrete - I have gone through planning and received approval for the new design. It is situated in the same position but has gone from a trapazoid to a rectangular shape. Would this work qualify for a lower tax rate? Similary, I am replacing existing steps and and terraces because they have become unsafe. Would this work qualify for a lower IVA rate? Finally, is it right that I should pay a 10% fee to the local commune against the pool re-construction cost given there was a pool there already? Any advice gladly appreciated!

A neighbour told me that my trees are a fire risk because they are quite overgrown and are too close to my house. He also told me I could also be fined for this by the local authorities. Is this true?
